Don’t know why ESPN feels like they need to suck up to the Mexico fans.

All the Mexico fans are watching the game on Univision.

I'd rather have Bradley go hard for 15 miles at the right times and be effective rather than jog around for 25 miles watching the game!

It drives me crazy!

I don’t think ESPN sucks up to Mexico fans.

I think ABC is in charge of ESPN and perhaps Univision.

ESPN I noted was already showing a lot of Mexico games. Doesn’t mean I approve but they have been with a lot of fanfare.

Mexico’s coach said “everyone was against Mexico” or “out to get us” as translated by ESPN.

Mexico did get robbed of some goals by the ref in their opener against Cameroon, but the big conspiracy against Mexico exists only in his mind.

Now he goes back to his day job in the Wonka Chocolate Factory.

Sounds like the excuse for Latinos who have a grudge is to say people are against us. That is the Uruguayan defense as well.

If the Canadians were an awesome soccer team, say top 25 FIFA team, ESPN might roll out this treatment for them too.

Do we get a bit of favorable coverage if the Canadiens are in the Winter Olympics and their ice hockey team? I don’t know if we can compare, maybe some.

Too bad, Canada is not better. In women’s soccer, I think they do okay.

ESPN keeps saying it’s a controversial ending, it might be a tiny bit but I don’t think to a great extent, I think the breaks evened out.

Now if the USA went out like that, would we feel that way too Maybe.

Mexican ESPN analyst(Jorge ?) believes there was “injustice” against Mexico, and that Mexico played a better game than the Dutch.

Ramos disagrees in particular with the penalty call and he is Uruguayan. The penalty did look borderline.

I'm hoping that Greece somehow beats Costa Rica today. Only because I think Holland knows better how to beat the hapless Greeks than the surprising Costa Ricans.

(My Dutch family and I invested in hideous Orange clothing 4 years ago. We gotta get more use out of it! )

There was another, clear penalty for a foul against Robben that was not called.

I would have noted the iffy penalty, but chastised the US team for giving the other team way too many scoring opportunities and lacking ball possession in the 2nd half.

Church was almost deserted this afternoon with Mexico playing Netherlands. I hope they feel guilty for skipping Mass, now that their team lost!

Next week the Colombians will be needling the Mexicans.
