‘We do not want extra bonus, or money. We only play for Greece and its people,’ Greek media reported the players as writing.

“I am very, very satisfied with Michael in this tournament so far,’’ Klinsmann said. “I know that he has another gear in him.’’

I've only seen reverse. Glad Klinsmann sees something else.

Mexicans cheer for their team, but I’ve got wind that per the politics and economies of Mexico, per candid conversations, Mexicans hate it, you have organized crime, corruption. If you get a job, it’s hard to be upwardly mobile. So we hear the Middle Class has been growing.

Looking forward to today’s matches...

I know that whenever we find that the Mexico match is wrapping up today, we'll be off the road and at home; we live in an area with a heavy Mexican demographic and all the beer bars and partiers will be sucking 'em up the entire day, then firing up their cars.

Also glad we're not in Los Angeles...win or lose, there will be riots again.

My prediction: US wins 2-1.

Watching Holland Mexico. Big game, but its hard to see Mexico winning.

There was the first big chance of the game and it was Mexico’s. We’ll see here.

I can see these water breaks becoming a standard thing. Because it provides a chance for more commercials during the game. I think the networks are going to demand it.

Holland can strike quickly.

What’s with the high boots? I mean, head level? This would have been dangerous play when I was a yute.

Brazil is the host nation. If the following is true, it's got to be pretty bad, not like the Suarez incident but awful all the same and a negative on the sport. Sounds like it happened in the tunnel during the half-time break.

The governing body are looking into reports that a Brazil Football Confederation official threw a punch at the Chile striker

Fifa have opened an investigation into claims that the spokesman for the Brazil Football Confederation assaulted a Chile player during Saturday’s World Cup clash in Belo Horizonte.

Mexico has been good as the commentator Van Nistelrooy indicated as well. I guess seeing Netherlands carve up Spain so badly makes you think they could do that against about anyone.
