Millennials are famously unemployed and underemployed, but the reason may not entirely be the so-so job market. Or gaps in their college education.
It could be their body odor.
In the Bank of America Trends in Consumer Mobility report, released Monday, surveyors asked 1,000 adults about the importance of various items in their daily lives. Among millennials, 93 percent said a smartphone was "very" or "somewhat" important, making it the most important item for that age group. Fewer87 percentsaid deodorant was of daily importance, and 91 percent, a toothbrush.

I saw one of those reality show ‘repair shop’ TV shows one where the son of the business owner got one of his friends hired...
The guy would sit on his ass half the time, and when asked to sweep the parking lot he did it with one hand while talking on the phone with the other hand... he was fired before the end of the show.
This is typical of what I see from te under 30 crowd
Tattooing and piercings seem to have suddenly appealed to insecure people about 1995;that is when I first started seeing convenience store clerks and others exhibiting those signs of poor judgment.
I now see quite a few otherwise attractive women and decent looking men whose appearance is spoiled by what would have been seen formerly only at a freak show.
Yes we did to every single interview.
You have to establish the rules from the beginning but we have trouble even imagining what we have to make rules about. We stupidly expect some things are just naturally out of bounds and unacceptable. But noooooo... everything and anything goes with them.
Back to the old days of no personal calls during business hours. Moderation is not possible because it can’t be defined to them. Black and white no grey and no requirements for judgement can be expected.
I don’t buy this...since a large number of “educated” foreigners used to replace Americans come from nations where large numbers of their citizenry still defecate openly in the middle of the street
And, a large number of older folks are hygenically challenged
Had a moron at work that always had one of those bluetooth things screwed into his ear. I once told him “If you answer that thing when I’m talking to you, you’ll be glad you have both hands free.”
LOL, I know what you mean. Those are even more annoying because you never know if they are talking to you or not.
I’m with you. Of all the reasons Millenials are flailing on the job market (and, as the recently departed Chuck Noll once said, they are numerous and they are many), personal hygiene is typically not one of them.
also, they all want to start at CEO and spend a few days on the golf course and the other times at expensive lunches all rolled into a 20 hour Obama type work week.
They actually text DURING job interviews.....
