I do not hunt or trap at all. Wild animals carry disease
and disease laden parasites, which I would just as soon avoid.
I don’t mind a few pathogens. I like to think of it as giving my immune system a little exercise. When it sees one, I want it to go “Here, kitty kitty kitty!”, not “OMG! WTF is THAT?”
When you die of starvation the worms and ants will appreciate your germ free body. The buzzards too.
you do know that the possum (which is fine eating) has the BEST immune system of all the animals out there.
It is almost unheard of for a possum to have rabies, or other dangers that wild animals might get.
