Tim Howard may very well be the most popular man in America at this moment. So much so, an official White House petition was started Tuesday night to rename the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport after Howard -- seriously.

Watching bass fishing on TV is more exciting. Oh look! A freshly painted wall is drying - let’s get some chairs and watch! You say you can’t? You’re watching the lawn grow? Thrilling, I’ll be right out.
I remember watching Frank Howard hit a home run from my seat behind home plate. I don’t think the ball ever fell to earth.
Nah. Lets rename JFK instead.
The fact that ANYTHING is named after Ronaldus Magnus really bothers them, doesnt it?
That people in that poll regard R Reagan as the best president since World War II is really eating at them.
Their slug is considered the worst and they don’t know what to do.
Who?
I will take your word for it. I have not had time to see any of it. Not really a soccer fan, but my nephew played. I do recall it had to be about 16 years or so ago. I saw a game between Poland and someone and I like the way Poland “tackled”.
Who is Tim Howard? Never heard of him. I am serious, who is he?
Maybe they could change Kennedy Airport instead. Perhaps we should start a petition.
Your premise. I think you should check it.
That was directed at the author of the article I assume because I surely didn’t pen that baby.
Progressives are sick and evil. They would line up to help put conservatives in the cattle cars.
I think this is a veiled reference to the Redskins’ situation. It wouldn’t surprise me, as I mentioned in the past, that we start seeing people demanding names to schools, airports, towns, etc. to be changed based on America’s history.
On the other hand, it is a long-standing FR tradition to blame the poster.
It is an even longer-standing FR tradition to reply without reading the article. I'm working on that one. ;-)
From what I gather, he was the goalie on the USA’s soccer team that won one of four games in this ongoing tourney that is held every four years. Someone can correct me if those numbers are off.
I take offense to that. Hey that is more offense than the offensive world Cup. :-)
Love Tim Howard, but renaming Reagan National? Uh, no.
I will also confess that the first guy I thought of reading that was Frank Howard. Apparently I wasn’t alone.
If anything should be renamed, it is the Richard B. Russell building.....I have written numerous times to eradicate the name “Rachael Carson Building” in Harrisburg. PA. Never get an answer back. She’s murdered more people than all the communists in all the world.
Regardless of the World Cup, soccer is in fifth place for popular team sports in the U.S. behind football, baseball, basketball and hockey. And there it should stay since it's boring. Rugby is far more interesting.
