The franchise tag gets a wide receiver $12.3 million and a tight end only $7 million. Graham who plays both wanted to be designated a wide receiver.
I am amazed at the difference in salary between the positions for the franchise tag. I would think a good tight and is worth almost the same as a wide out.

Should be pro-rated based on the percentage of time lined up in each position. I suppose he could tell the team that he can’t line up as a wide receiver since he’s just a tight end.

I guess Michael Sam doesn’t have to worry about being considered a tight end.

Oops!
He put Tight End on his own twitter feed. Might have cost him 4 mill!
Of course, he is a tight end. Excellent hands but a TE.

Thank Allah. Who wants to be a loose end?

Maybe Barack Obama and Reggie Love could give him some “wide receiver” pointers...

I don’t see any WR in a 3 point stance blocking a DL or LB. Graham is a TE.
