Whoaaaaa!!!!! Old Forhingslosh - haven’t heard that mentioned in decades.

My understanding is it was a special derivitive of Iron City filtered through miles of virgin slag heaps.

You are so right! Olde Frothingslosh was a Pittsburgh Brewing product, Iron City beer inside, novelty labels outside. Originally from east Ohio not far from Pittsburgh, so all those brands sort of run together: Gennesee, Iron City, Rheingold, Rolling Rock, Duquesne, to name a few.

Still looking for the later O.F. labels: “German Schnopps” (Ach mein gosh, ist Frothingslosh!), “Italian Chianty”, “Honorable Socky”, “French Champain” (painfully evervescent)”, from around 1964.

1965 was the last year of Miss Rheingold. America’s loss.
