I could give my rant about age limits, rather than objective preparedness, for Confirmation, but that would be boring. I’ll see what happens when we bring up Vlad, because he’s two years ahead of his age/grade. It was convenient for me to start James and Vlad in first grade Sunday School at the same time, and they’re still in the same grade (5th this year).
Pat’s only one year ahead, and nobody has mentioned it ... and Vlad is tall for his age, so maybe he can just cruise along under the radar. The religious education staff does not want to upset me, and they have lots of other things to worry about.
I’m glad Mr. Bill is happy. Tomorrow morning, either Bill or Tom will drive the purple car down to Wingate, about 30 minutes east, and I will drive the Silver Bullet to a mechanic recommended by a trustworthy church member. Hopefully they can fix the left-rear-light electrical glitch without too much difficulty, and we can pick it up on Wednesday, when we have the purple car again.
I was so totally insulted about not being able to be Confirmed. I had the name picked out and everything! I wasn’t jealous of my sister, but I was sure ready to kick the shins of the Bishop, whoever he was at the time.
I know the nuns were impressed, and thought I had a good shot, but, ohwell...
I hope the trip to Wingate for the Silver Bullet is fruitful! It would be nice to have it registered. Are you planning on vanity plates? If not, why not? I think you should!
I'm keeping my finaglers crossed for your automobiling success.
