Pet peeve, people psoting without giving a clue where the story is from.

Norfolk, Va. – There are fewer than 60 people living in the world who can say they are 110 years old or older.

The Gerontology Research Group which verifes supercentenarians (people who have attained the age of at least 110 years) notes on thier website that there are currently 73 verified supercentenarians. They point out that there maybe as many as 350 to 400 supercentenarians, but they have only verifed a portion of them.

I have some issue with their rate of verifcation, but the writer of the article did not check the large print to see that there actually 73 verfied supercentenarians, not less than 60.

Interestingly there are only two men on the list at this time and they are at 63 and 70 in seniority. Women clearly live to a super old age over men.

Well, it was reported by radio or T.V. station WTKR. From that we may infer it was east of the Mississippi River.

I'd like to see proof of her age.
