... We need to look into his work and ask him to resign, said Zhirinovsky, according to the Russian media. But hes greedy, so of course he wont. Its pretty good to get [millions] for doing nothing. The team lost and it doesnt affect his pay in any way. Thief! Zhirinovsky, whose public utterances can be truly shocking (he recently threatened to have his aides rape a pregnant journalist), said that even Capellos appearance was not right. Even the way he looks makes it hard to like him, the politician said. He looks like a schoolteacher.

Brazil World Cup team calls in psychologist after Chile match tearsBrazil's manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has called on a psychologist to bolster the national football team after a near emotional meltdown during Saturday's nailbiting World Cup game against Chile.
The expert counselling before the quarter-final against Colombia on Friday follows a barrage of criticism by the domestic media after key players sobbed before the penalty shootout in the Chile match.

Capello still thinks dealing with the English FA was much worse than anything Zhirinovsky would say...

Serves them right for not having a Russian coach.

Russia should get a German coach. Then we could say that our German is better than their German.

Anyway, looking forward to the games today. France/Germany should be a titanic battle. Oh yeah!
Love the World Cup. Hate when it's over!

Did they say Klose starts? That is a big change but probably a good move. Could be down to some people having the flu.
Good Luck Miroslav.

Thank God that Löw was not stubborn enough to stick to his awful new tactics. The old 4-2-3-1 worked great again. I was convinced that Germany would win as soon as I saw the initial formation.

I’ll be on a business trip in Holland, then. Hope I will find a place where people watch the game, and won’t lynch the only German fan there ;-)

Capellini has no need to worry. Remember Ann Coulter says there’s no accountability in soccer.

Ann Coulter:
As with Algeria’s glorious 1-1 tie game against Russia, Team USA tied Portugal and lost to Germany—and then advanced. How did the U.S. fail to win in two straight games, but advance in this apparently interminable tournament? I believe we are witnessing the implementation of that favorite rule of soccer moms: “Everybody's a winner!!!”
I love Ann, but math is not exactly her strong side :-p
