Not a Western but another film I enjoyed was The High and The Mighty.

I've only seen this movie once but the Duke's performance and the whistling theme are firmly implanted in memory.

Since I was only six at the time it indicates the visceral impact of the movie. Whole lot of whistling going on in the school yard after that.

I remember seeing The High and The Mighty at the theater as a kid. When it became available on DVD, I had to buy it. I also liked him in Donovan’s Reef and Hatari!
