The foster care system in this country creates psychopaths. Removing a child from an abusive family to place them in am abusive system is hardly “ in the best interest of the child. “ kids are taught to trust no one and are sentenced to being raised by revolving committees of bureaucrats. Having social workers fresh out of college, therapists, lawyers and judges who are not held to any standard pretend to raise a child is hardly a good idea. It’s worse than what most of the kids left.
Orphanages are much better when well-run. Most kids would be better off left in dysfunctional families.
The good kids are adopted early, and the rest are destined for failure—though they are programmed to be completely dependent on the government and that is a good outcome in most of the “professional” workers.
