I’ve never made pie, but you’re right..all of the recipes that I’ve seen include sweetened, condensed milk.

I don't think I'll ever LIKE making pie but everybody likes eating it. There are so many different ways of making it. I recommend the Cuisinart ones on yt, the Mrs. Winter's oil crust on yt, and somebody on FR suggested I put my shortening in the freezer and grate it. That worked so well, just gently cut up the last blob and tossed w/ice water, then made a disk wrapped in cling wrap and chill for 1/2 hour. The dough was so pliable, I could fold it to transfer to pan with no tears or tears lol.

I made an oil crust years ago and it all went into the trash because I didn't know how to manage the wax paper. Mrs. Winter shows how. But there is a recipe that calls for a little more flour (I like plenty on the edge to trim and crimp).

I'm tired, hadn't eaten all day, made some American style chop suey, loaded it up with stuff I needed to use up, boy is it good; Now I'm too full for anything else. I've learned so many ways to cook things better from blogs and yt.
