Friends it's Sunday night again, and time to relax. Warm up the tubes for another four hours of classic radio Americana.

The green pepper I bought yesterday was just .88 cents, which is in the usual ballpark. We’re lucky my wife’s cousin owns a farm and her brother manages it, so we can get fresh veggies on the cheap. What blew my mind was when I looked at the price of cheese - I almost got the vapors and passed out. I’ve only been intermittently shopping this year due to my leg, and haven’t done my usual grocery runs, and the prices of so many items have gone completely ape since my last outing.

Same here. It’s been hovering around 90 here, but the humidity has been virtually nil. I was actually able to go outside yesterday and get some yardwork done for the first time this year. I’m paying for it today, but brother, did it ever feel good. I’m in my 50’s now, but I swear, if the Good Lord lets me live to be 300, I’ll still consider tending to my land a pure joy. Google ‘Callaway Gardens’. That’s the goal the missus and I are shooting for. Our own little piece of God’s gift.
Yes, cheese is freaky high, as are so many other food staples. I guess this is a result of the “necessarily skyrocketing” prices agenda of the commie bastards running our nation.
You know, they could have improved Sam Spade by giving the character more of Borgart’s style from the film.

Second on the Maltese Falcon. Bogart, Sydney Greenstreet, Peter Lorre, Ward Bond. It’s tough to put together a better cast for a film noire detective movie.
