That's really odd, because you can usually find people who want to undertake worthwhile endeavors, even if the pay is little or nothing. And here's a very lucrative occupation that nobody wants.

I thought performing abortions was at the discretion (or lack thereof) of the individual doctor. I didn’t realize that being an abortionist is seen as a specialty. Is that what the elderly doctor is saying here, that 80% of what he does is abortion related? If that’s the case, no wonder few young doctors want that distinction.
