Drivers in a long-running labor dispute with three trucking companies at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach began what they said would be an indefinite strike Monday.

The impact on the movement of cargo around the sprawling port complex, the main gateway for hundreds of billions of dollars of trade with Asia, was limited in the strike's first hours.

The truckers say the companies have prevented them from unionizing and improperly classified them as contractors - rather than full-time employees - to minimize wages and benefits.

During past trucker strikes at the ports, dockworkers have walked off in solidarity but returned within hours when an arbitrator ruled the job action was not permissible under the contract.

Now that the illegals are being bussed all over the country I don’t see why they shouldn’t be bussed to POLB or POLA to do the work lazy spoiled union American workers won’t do.

No matter the lazy, and spoiled you are intimating giving the illegals purpose rather than deporting them.

We don’t need to find things for these illegals, whom are criminals by the way to do here, and send the signal back to those in their home countries that they will be accomodated.

The message should be don’t even try it, NOT to throw out a welcome mat.

They have to keep those truckers’ wages down otherwise they wouldn’t be able to afford those $200,000/yr salaries for the longshoremen.
