I hope the Dutch beat up the 1st or 2nd most arrogant country in the world. One can debate whether Brazil or Argentina have a more inflated view of themselves. Brazil the country of tomorrow forever and Argentina from Top 10 economic power in 1900 to economic basket case.

Having lived in Argentina for three years, my sympathies lie with the Argies in this case. If Holland prevails, we’ll be looking at a rematch of the 1974 World Cup Final in Munich when West Germany beat Holland.

Argentina won 4-2 in penalty kicks after a scoreless 90 minutes and 30 minutes of extra time.

Argentina will now face Germany in the World Cup final on Sunday.

The Netherlands now plays Brazil in the runner up consolation game on Saturday.
