Geez. No wonder hairy reid-iculous hates the Koch brothers. I do have to take exception with the republican claims. Maybe overall, but we all know penny pritzker is a boot lickin' obamanite. Seem to remember one of the waltons did some big donations to the dems as well. I'm sure somebody has a list to counter some of these claims. Hmmm. I wonder. Is patty hearst gettin' some of this money? Uh, I seem to remember that she is.

Mary Ellen must have been taking the photo, because she’s not in this one.

“The richest family in America is the Walton family who are worth $152 billion “

They brag about the fact they’ve hired 60,000 veterans, but they won’t pay them more than $9.00 and hour.

That sounds so whiny and liberal. At least they have jobs and if they have the gumption they won’t be working anywhere for long at minimum wage, they will go onward and upward.

For most, Walmart is not a career, it is a stepping stone for the ambitious and a dead end for those who can do nothing else.

Only 7 are Democrats, but 15 are neither Democrat or Republican, apparently.

LOL! Or they have so much money they don’t really care one way or the other. Seems like the uber wealthy can be like that. Since they are in the stratosphere none of the crap in dc has much effect on them.

Exactly.

Big corporations give money to both major political parties. The directors of the corps may be of one party or the other, but the corporation is neutral.

The feigned animosity toward big corporations is little more than political theater.

The story of the Waltons of Walmart is the quintessential story of success in America. That empire started with a small family 5-and-dime on the square in Bentonville, Arkansas. Sam and Helen ran it.

Sam and his brother started the Walmart chain with borrowed money to open either 4 or 6 area stores in the early 1960.

Both are OUT of top 10 and are BIG Demo supporters

Of the 50 richest families, 28 are Republicans and only seven are Democrats.

It just means there are more business- savvy, smart Republicans than there are Democrats.

A friend of mine from HS married Lucy Cargill. I’d say he made a wise choice. His brother was also CEO of Cadbury for years. Both from a small little HS in the mountains of central PA.
