LOL! We have some little black crickets at our house that are always trying to sneak in to aggravate us. They meet a quick demise once located. No hurricanes here but then we have an earthquake issue possibly. At least with the storms, you get some warning to act on. Although, in 24 years in FL we never left the house for a storm. Of course we were inland about 15 miles and had an elevation of about 30 feet. Hope you guys aren’t too close to the water what with all the sea level rise and such. ;>}
I’m only 5 miles from the beach. We did at least have all the windows and doors replaced with hurricane impact windows/doors. We’re also having an addition built, and we’re designing that for 180 MPH winds.
During our time in FL we were without power twice for what we considered an extended time. We didn’t have a back up power source so the 5 day and 7 day outages were miserable. August in FL without power is not pleasant. LOL! Hope you have provisions for this possibility. Good job on the 180 mph standard for the addition. Hopefully you’ll never see anything like that.
