Garth Brooks returns with new music and a new tour, on his own terms
Young guns beware: Country musics juggernaut is about to return.
After a 13-year hiatus since his last studio album, Scarecrow, Garth Brooks announced Thursday he is emerging from semi-retirement with a new double album and three-year world tour.
Brooks said he would reveal the first stop by drafting a fan as a personal PR rep for one day. Brooks said the fan would disseminate the information in whatever way he sees fit Twitter, Facebook, group text to all his friends on July 14. Announcing a new record deal with Sony/RCA, he told reporters the new album will be released around Black Friday, Rolling Stone reported.

I’ll pass
Have to comment: I dont like his music, never have.Lots of hat, little musicality.
Meh.
I love country music, but Garth isn’t on my CD shelf.
He’s been “retired” for a long time...he may find out that he isn’t such a big deal anymore.
Friend of the family alsmost married him....much to the dismay of her folks. They’re still glad. No, I’m not kidding.
‘almost’
His most famous (and probably only famous) song “Friends in low places” he didn’t even write which is sacrilege in country music. In other words he’s a fraud which is probably why he embraces the left.
eff him. Don’t like his so called music anyway.
See this reply I just posted.

Puke. That guy sucks.
Y a w n . . . . . . .
Good for her, he’s a fraud this guy not to mention a commie rat bastard. I cannot stand rat scum like this who have all this money from capitalism yet go out of their way to promote anti-American constitution destroying commie pukes like Obama. Absolutely unforgivable.
I don’t know. Buck Owens didn’t write “Act Naturally.” Eddy Arnold, Ray Price and Faron Young were probably the two most successful country star of the 1950s and they didn’t write any of their stuff. Waylon Jennings and Kenny Rogers were probably the two biggest stars of the 1970s and they wrote very little of their own stuff.
What I’ve always like about Nashville is that those who could write wrote and those who could sing sang and no one was allowed by the record companies to do anything they couldn’t do.
Thunder Rolls...The Dance(arguably his best and well known song) etc..he certainly isnt that old cowled gloomy crap from the seventies and sixties, he is and was a pop musician who happened to be country.and performing at an inauguration doesnt make your politics. Do you think gay Ricky Martin is a Republican for performing at Bush’s?
The Dance is one of my all time favorites.
Beautiful song, imho.
Isn’t Yearwood married to him? I can’t stand her and her ‘cooking show’. BiOtch.
Tend to agree. Also, his exaggerated twang is affected. And what's with running back and forth on a big stage? In fairness, I saw him do comic impersonations of other country singers that I had not seen before and which was entertaining. All seen on TV.
Yeah but there’s a huge difference: Republicans, at least the Republicans I know, are for the equality of everyone WHETHER OR NOT YOU BELIEVE IN THEIR LIFESTYLE. So if a gay guy performs at a Republican event, that is cool with me. Like Ted Nugent said on Piers Morgan when asked what would he do if his son was gay ..It’s inconsequential.

On the other hand, someone who performs at an event celebrating a guy who is hellbent on destroying freedom of the individual, destroying the constitution, making a slave of the people, then sorry, but that guy is a piece of rat filth. Garth Brooks is a SC*MBAG.
Like I said...The Dance is an all time fav. So of course I had to go listen to it. :)
I found the writer singing it. I love to listen to writers sing their own stuff. This man should had recorded it himself. He’s darn good.

Hope this works...I’m not real good at it.
He graduated from college. Maybe that turned him into a liberal and he’s never turned back.
I think he’s going to learn what Johnny Duncan learned. A few years off the radio and it’s over.
