Clarence Page: Impeachment: Palin's crusade, GOP's headache
HPE.com (High Point Enterprise) ^ | 7/13/2014 | Clarence Page

Sarah Palin has joined a rising drumbeat of Republicans who call for President Barack Obama's impeachment. Democrats can barely conceal their glee. It's hard to think of anything that would give a bigger boost to the Democrats' currently gloomy prospects in November's mid-term elections.

Not sure this is precisely the most supportive tea party / conservative view, but Clarence Page is (also) paying attention.

To tell the truth, there seems to be a significant amount of interest in Palin, from various viewpoints.

Keep speaking up, Sarah.

All this anti impeachment stuff...I wonder why so many people think they are so much wiser than the founders...who did bot consider electoral prospects when writing up the HCAM thing.

Well what did they know. Just old white guys. Not nearly as wise as the current intellectual giants opposing their words.

Since everyone and the their grandmother knows that there will be no conviction if even there was an impeachment, the real question is how this would affect the public imagination.

At best, she will draw some attention to the most obviously stupid and illegal of the Obama Administration’s actions.

At worst, nobody will pay attention.

Either way, we don’t lose anything.

Each anti-impeachment person needs to be asked: What do you think constitutes an act for which a President can be impeached and removed?

Affirmative action journalism meets affirmative action presidency. Devastating results.

For one, the cover up a second rate burglary was more than enough to call for Nixon’s head.

Notices that Page frames the argument in how Palin's impeachment talk will possibly help the Democrats in the mid-term elections.

It's never about the good of the country for Democrats and their lapdogs like Clarence Page in the media. Never mind the fact that Palin is despised by the Republican establishment probably more than she is by the Democrats.

If she is so irrelevant why is she a GOP “headache”?

Because Page wants the GOPe to denounce Palin and get her out of the way. I know you knew that though.

I think Clarence Page is paying attention to Palin. Sure he’s running her down in part, but he’s paying attention.

I think a good portion of the GOP is out to lunch, and toeing a “responsible” position for the GOP which is, to keep their head down and do nothing.

Frankly I respect Page’s view more, right at the moment.

Impeachment and conviction is the answer to a lawless president like our current one, but there is little chance it will happen in these sorry times. Let us bow our heads in shame.

So, Clarence Page, who was a Palace Guard spearcatcher for the Clinton White House during the impeachment wars, thinks that Clinton's transgressions were "much more serious"?

Page is a lying piece of Democrat dog squeezins.

Scumbag Page mentions the tea party as "rabid", but fails to mention that his Democrat buddies in the government used the IRS, the FBI, the Defartment of "Justice" and others to feloniously target the tea party. What a hypocrite.

Nope, just as Clarence Page did with Bill Clinton in 1998 and 1999, he misdirects and minimizes the crimes of his current boy in the White House.

Now that the Clinton impeachment crisis is many years over and done, hypocrite Page freely admits the "serious" nature of Clinton's perjury. It was not so at the time. Many were witness to this, and I'm one of them.

Clarence Page won't admit that Obama is using the IRS and other executive branch agencies to illegally target his political enemies until Obama is safely gone from the White House.

Page is a total partisan hack.

Well, I read Page's article. I saw lots of political analysis.

But I didn't see Page refute a single one of Palin's impeachment charges.

Not a single one.

Gov Palin tells the truth.

In response, stinker, backstabber Romney
and his GOPe makes HER the “enemy”
in his LONG support and the GOPe’s support to
Give Obama Power (GOP).
