What kind of diet are you on, and why?

I just had a Twitter exchange with a local leftist and she would not address my point about “least restrictive means” just kept throwing out talking points.

I finally told her it’s ok if she doesn’t know what it means and that I understood it was an emotional issue.

I think she probably took it as condescending, and it was. LOL

It’s why I really have nothing to do with them. We cannot discuss anything. They are blind. And I strongly believe those opinions bleed over into all aspects of their lives, leaving nothing in common as far as values go.

I don’t have anything to do with liberals any more if I can avoid it-fortunately, there are only 2 out here that I even know, and neither has spoken to me in months-not since I told them they were clueless and walked away. I didn’t like one of them at all anyway-she brings politics into every f’ing thing she does or says and it drives me nuts. the other one was a friend of MrT5’s, too so I do sort of regret that he dislikes me now, too-but not enough to talk to him...

Sounds like you are eating the way I do by choice-heavy on the protein and veggies, stay away from carbs most of the time, don’t like sugar-but I do eat cheese, yogurt and some nuts/seeds for the fats and oils.

you may have heard my eldest daughter is getting married? ; )
i have not been on such a serious diet since i myself got married. There is something about hosting 200 of your closest friends, family and colleagues and IN LAWS to motivate one to look their very best!

i’ll be interested to hear what she says. I just checked and a lot of the women you fraternize with are on restricted accounts and i can only see your side of the convo.

You and i have talked about this before. I have several very close friends who are leftists. I did not seek them out, they are all from work, where i am forced into proximity with them. We have a lot in common as far as family, being mothers etc. and that crosses a lot of boundaries. These women would do anything for me, and vice versa, regardless of our political beliefs. We just don’t talk about politics.

i would kill for cheese, nuts and yogurt ; ) this is no dairy, no sugar, no carbs, no fat, other than the “food” they provide for the AM and lunch, and then dinner is 8 oz of protein with 2 cups of vegetables [tomatoes and green beans are only once per week each, they are restricted. Some vegs are not allowed at all] Salad is unlimited, but dressing is only 2 tsp olive oil per day and you can use all the salt and seasonings you want. I told xshub it’s basically one meal a day and the stuff they give you for the other two meals just prevents you from passing out! it’s basically an 800-1000 cal per day. OH and there is a yummy bar to look forward to at the end of the day, one of their items. i lost 11.3 lbs the first week, so the results are pretty dramatic. 2 of xshub’s employees went on this diet in mid Jan, the wife lost 52 lbs and the hub 60 lbs by the end of June, so i know it works. I don’t consider it a sustainable way to eat for the long haul, but they do gradually reintroduce carbs when you have met your goal. My goal is 9/6, and i can do this until then. Went to brunch with my family yesterday and while they ate, i drank black coffee. so i am pretty motivated ; )

the woman i am working with is an RN, and i had my best friend the doc check it out and read the stuff and she said it was sound, so while i don’t think 11.3 lbs in a week is a healthy amount to lose in a week generally, i bet i won’t have anything remotely approximating that in the following weeks. but i do believe i will see a steady loss.

Don’t diet.

Eat right...and take C3G. It works.

TFX on Amazon, 1000 mg per serving, once a day...19 bucks.

My body composition has changed dramatically.

Google is your friend.

(And...i’ve yet to completely lose crap foods, and the occasional tipple)...

Rme...y’all always over react to that particular barb...

P.s. Even with the diet...trust me, C3g, and Forskolin, and Yohimbine HCL..all natural, all available on Amazon....

How many pounds are you trying to lose? The first weight you lose is supposed to be mostly water-the nutritionist who has classes on healthy diet at the health food store in the next county says 2-3 pounds per week is considered a safe and more permanent weight loss after that-too fast a loss-like with a crash diet-is easy to gain back.

I eat 1000-1200 calories per day, and it is plenty-I’ve been 108-110 for most of my adult life, and I’ve always eaten like that-I do eat the low fat yogurt and the like, but it is the only yogurt I eat, I do eat boiled eggs sometimes and I eat only 25 gm of carbs per day, if that. I also drink a lot of water-are you doing that? I think it is a healthy way to eat-it provides enough energy to do a physical job, and the natural food is so good for you...

We went through another round of leftist birth control talking points while I was at Giant Eagle. She begged off as being “too tired” when I pressed for the umpteenth time for a comment on “least restrictive means.”

I honestly don’t know if her ignorance is genuine or feigned.

Thank God Megyn Kelly’s hair is back to normal.

She has no idea and can’t admit it.

Megan’s hair has been going through some contortions not sure what look she’s going for. It’s fine and limp and I’m sure that humidity is a challenge for the stylists. But that mullet looked like helmet hair!

Dave,

Geography ? ...sort of....

Is it possible to score Manhattan Clam Chowder, at your local GE?

I’ve yet to find it at GE or Kroger...

Weird...

Not Campbell’s, reg or chunky, not Progresso, not the hot ‘in store’ soup,,

I don’t know. I only eat chicken noodle soup.

Ok, now the Yinzer answer: no problem. Just get the regular clam chowder and add some ketchup!
