Think Wrigley Field is at 100 years old this year.
The 3rd oldest ball park in MLB is Dodger Stadium at Chaves
Ravine in LA. It is 55 years old.

God,I remember when L.A. had no MLB. Time does fly-—seems like The Dodgers just left Brooklyn-—and The Braves,Boston.

Remember the Dodgers leaving Brooklyn. Don’t remember the braves leaving Boston, but I do remember them leaving Milwaukee.

You know, of all the Major League ballparks that were around when I was in High School, only two remain... Fenway and Wrigley.

Fenway still remains viable because since the late 1990's, the ballpark has undergone a number of upgrades to keep it viable--even the areas used by the mass media have been extensively renovated.

I still think because of the problems dealing with Wrigleyville, the Cubs may be very soon announcing they've moving to a retro modern ballpark in the suburbs of Chicago. That means it'll have most of the "feel" of the current Wrigley Field but with modern amenities for everything and the ability to play night games 55 to 60 times per year.

Safeco Field appears built to last. I make it a point to see ball games when I travel, and have been to most of the parks.

Safeco field, really, is something else. It looks like an ‘old park’ in its layout, brickwork, and design, but its built with modern materials and engineering. It has the longest clear span in the world in its retracting roof.

The Kingdome could have resisted bombing, it was built so well. They worked for weeks to weaken it before they could use charges to bring it down. If I recall, bringing the Kingdome down took minutes, not seconds. Several minutes.

I’ve been blessed enough to have seen the old Yankee Stadium and Fenway too. Been to the new US Cellular Field in South Chicago too. Loved Candlestick Park. O.co field is actually a good place for baseball. Nothing fancy. The park in Atlanta feels sort of monolithic on the outside (US Cellular feels that way too) and plastic on the inside.

Saw the Expos in Montreal before they folded. Nothing more weird than hearing a ball game stadium announcer in French. Been to the park in Toronto. The old Phillies park I visited for an entire series when I went to Damage Control School in the 80’s. Been to Shea, and that’s a good park. Been to the one in KC, and Cincy. Never Cleveland, Miami, or San Diego. Never been to a Dodger game. Never been to a Twinkies game. Never been to a Nationals game.
