Do you notice how much this cat resembles Tara, the cat who saved the boy from the neighbor’s dog a few weeks ago? Interesting that they’re both brown tabbies. One of our four cats is a brown tabby, and she’s a real pistol! Maybe it’s a color thing. :)

I confess. I don’t like cats.

But we had one that won my heart. We live in heavy hardwood forest. My daughter found a tiny kitten in a tree in the forest near our home. Brought it home, was the best cat ever.

It thought it was a dog.....would come when you called it, take walks with you, had a lot of traits unlike any cat I’ve known.

Cat’s BF was our collie (we are on our 5th). Collie of course huge next to the cat.

One day a semi-wild dog came out woods and viciously attacked our collie. Because the collie was very mild-mannered, the other dog wild, it was winning the battle even though much smaller than our collie. Tore a 6” gash in the collie’s hind leg.

The cat saw the attack, and lept into action. Ran to the attacking dog, jumped on it, ripping the attacking dog with his claws and drove it away!

Never seen anything like it......Black & white, kids named him “Cookie” as he looked like an Oreo......loved that cat......
