Good morning/afternoon Race Fans. Race firing up shortly. Looks like rain may have been through the area and about 2 pm (4 pm et) some more storms might form again.

Years ago, I was not a Jeff Gordon fan; but a friend of mine who was a fan, passed away shortly after Jeff Gordon’s 2nd win at Indy.
This year, in my friend’s honor, I’ve been cheering for Jeff Gordon.
Great race. Happy for his crew.
What has happened to this race? I remember when it appeared to draw more fans than the Indy 500. Now it plays to empty grandstands. But the Indy 500 sold very well, having the biggest crowd in years this past May.
