Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
I don't care, I'm still free
You can't take the sky from me...

Take me out to the black
Tell them I ain't coming back
Burn the land and boil the sea
You can't take the sky from me...

There's no place I can be
Since I've found Serenity
But you can't take the sky from me

Simply put, think a western set in space. But far more than that. About a group of people just trying their lives free from interference from an interfering government that gives corporations far too much power. Living out on the frontier, so they can do that.

One of the most conservative TV shows, I've ever seen.

Two of the characters are veterans of a war to try and resist the rule of the Alliance. Others are just people who like them, want to be free - or haven't been left with a choice.

That series was great. Agree absolutely with all you said. It definitely should have gone on much longer since you could really understand the characters and get into the whole theme being portrayed.

Star Trek, the Wagon Train of space.

Wish Wagon Train went a few more seasons.
