I doubt the chokehold killed him. Chokeholds are used to subdue the victim by rendering them unconscious but will kill when applied over an extended period by suffocation. If applied with too much force the windpipe can be crushed permanently also leading to death. In both cases the victim will be unconscious and certainly unable to talk. The guy was complaining about not being able to breath which is probably what killed him. In any case killing someone for selling looseys or breaking up a fight is outrageous.

He couldn't breathe because he'd had a choke-hold applied to him. Then when he said, about 10 times, that he couldn't breathe did they let him up for air? Nope. They let him die.

The one who applied the choke-hold needs to be charged with murder. His partner needs to be charged with accessory to murder. Everyone else, who failed to render aid, needs to be charged with something and fired. Every one of them. And that includes the witless, do-nothing, female paramedic.
