Climate data show that global temperatures in 2013 continued their long-term rising trend. In fact, 2013 was somewhere between the second- and sixth-hottest year on record for the planet since record keeping began in 1880, according to the climate report, released Thursday (July 17) by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). (Four groups of scientists, who rely on slightly different methods to calculate global surface temperatures, ranked 2013 slightly differently compared with other years.)

The annual State of the Climate report compiles climate and weather data from around the world and is reviewed by 425 climate scientists from 57 countries.

If the climate were actually warming wouldn’t each year be the warmest on record?

In related but unreported news, it has now been 3192 days (8.74 years) since the last major hurricane (Category 3 or higher) has made landfall in the United States. This shatters the old record of 2231 days (6.11 years) set in 1906.
Since "Global Warming" predicts hurricanes will increase in both frequency and force, this record breaking calm spell is ...wait for it... proof of Global Warming.

Hmmmm, citing records which go back 140 years - accurate ones which go back only about 40 years . . . all to talk about trends of a celestial body over 4 billion years old. It’s akin to basing my investment decisions for the rest of my life on the “trends” of Motorola stock over the last 37 seconds of trading.

BS...Look at 1934-1936 when high temperatures in the northern plains were in the 120 range range for most of the summer. More data manipulation to bolster the case for the global warming hoax.

This is the first summer in 20 years that I haven’t put the air conditioner in my upstairs bedroom. It is the coolest CT summer I can remember.

Hmmm, lets see, it’s the middle of July and here in north Texas and we’ve had high temperatures this week more like October than the usual dog day triple digits of normal summers.

But hey, it’s all cuzza globull warming dontcha know.

Is this the same NOAA that adjusts the historical record to make the past cooler?

NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center caught cooling the past – modern processed records don’t match paper records

“Climate scientists” can best be described as doomsday cultists who play with models. Their data is always interpreted or fabricated to fit their faith and fears. They thrive on grant money that will dry up if they don’t stick to the warming agenda, and like good cultists, they allow no examination of their faith but their own.

The trend for over 15 years is no warming even though more CO2. The fact that atmospheric temps are still elevated at the end of the interglacial is irrelevant. The lack of additional rise with additional CO2 is relevant. And no one believes statistics from NOAA anymore. It would be like believing that if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor. Or believing that we have to pass the bill to find out what is in the bill.
