A man who was captured on video hanging onto the back of a speeding car on Interstate 77 last month was arrested Tuesday after a police standoff in Thomasville, 70 miles northeast of Charlotte, according to multiple television stations.
Television station WFMY reported that the man, whose name has not been released by police, barricaded himself inside a Thomasville home about 1:30 p.m. after police responded to a domestic incident.
The Thomasville police Twitter feed said officers were at the scene with a "subject barricaded in a residence on Reid St."
The man didn't live inside the home where he was barricaded, according to the station. Officers could be heard over a megaphone telling him to pick up his phone. He ultimately surrendered. It was unclear Tuesday what charges the man faced.
Police say last month's incident in Charlotte was also domestic-related. A video circulated on YouTube showed a man clinging to the back of a car zipping along I-77 at 55 mph.
That incident started about noon June 28 at the Payless ShoeSource at South Boulevard and East Woodlawn Road. The female driver, who police say was the victim, drove up Woodlawn and got onto I-77. At one point, the man appeared to break the back window with something sharp while the car was moving.
No one was injured in the incident.
At least this one was in NC, not SC.
It’s Mr. Mayhem.
I guess I can say I live in a different part of the state. Good grief.

Does he have a mullet?
At least it would go a long way in explaining the act.
