I’m thinking maybe it was “henna”. It was very frustrating for her. Trying to cover up the gray, you know?

I have NEVER put any chemicals on my hair. Shampoo and conditioner, that is it. My hair is still not gray, only a wee bit that the hairdressers all love. I’m 56.

I really think avoiding chemicals has been good for my hair.

I *might* dye my hair if it ever gets really gray, but maybe not.

My grandmother and her sister, who lived to be quite old, had the most amazing totally white hair. It was really beautiful. If I live long enough I could rock that look!

[back in 1980 I used to do Joan Jett songs for my brother-in-laws band and well, it got me into character]
