A+ for you! I remember what a racket the peacocks in the quad at Fort Sam caused. Good security system they have in place.
They have been popular watchbirds in the boonies for as long as I can remember, and they are good ones, too-and pretty, but these are closer to me-less than 1/4 mile-and no one for a couple of miles can fail to hear their noise and the donkey’s and go see what is going on.
I’m partial to guineas as watchbirds myself-they are easier to manage, hang out with your chickens, etc. The eggs are delicious, too but they like to lay them under brush, not in henhouses so finding them an Easter egg hunt...
