I agree that America’s greatest living intellectual is Thomas Sowell.

I don’t believe most on welfare could go out and immediately support themselves. The ones living on $30,000 per year welfare need to be told that you can receive the same amount but you’re going to have to start earning it. It would have to be phased in over time. Something like (this just an example grabbed out of the sky) .....

1st year — you earn $18,000, you can continue to receive the full $30,000 per year that you’re getting. $12,000 is subsidized by taxpayers.
2nd year — you earn $22000, you can continue to receive the full $30,000 with the rest coming in subsidies.

I would rather not offer a dime to people capable of working. However, we know that’s not going to happen. One thing I cannot stand is people NOT CONTRIBUTING ANYTHING and receiving. I would prefer us helping them some but they’ve going to have to learn to start helping themselves.

Obama phased out workfare. It was a joke the way they did it anyway but something like it where the loopholes are covered up would be far better than what we currently have.

I agree with everything you’ve said here, pretty much.

Reducing, rather than increasing, the minimum wage would make more jobs available for the low-skilled ... and they would take the jobs, if that was what they needed to do to eat. It’s what Thomas Sowell did when he was a low-skilled teenager.

If Obama and his fascist cronies would quit killing economic opportunity, there would be millions more “living wage” jobs to go around.

Quit regulating healthcare, energy, home lending, farming, water access, etc...

and let the free markets WORK!!!!!
