Even as President Obama grapples with the crisis of immigrant children arriving at the Southwest border, White House officials are laying the groundwork for a large-scale expansion of immigrant rights that would come by executive action within weeks.
Officials signaled strongly Friday that Obama's move would shield from deportation large numbers of immigrants living in the country illegally, as advocacy groups have demanded.
Roughly 5 million of the estimated 11 million people who entered the country without legal authorization or overstayed their visas could be protected under a leading option the White House is considering, according to officials who discussed the proposals on condition of anonymity.

Can I ask a stupid question?
Can he legally do this through executive order, as opposed to an act of Congress?
Has he thought through unintended consequences? We already see the border flooded because word has gotten out, that these “children” will be allowed to stay if they can make it to America.
If he issues this executive order, isn’t it likely that the word will go out, and even more illegal aliens will get the message that we just don’t enforce immigration laws anymore, and then come here too????

1. You object to Obama acting by himself, giving another mass amnesty to illegal aliens. The news media are reporting that he plans to do it soon, and you are outraged.
2. Congress should not give the President any of the money he wants for the Border Surge unless the bill prohibits the President from issuing any more work permits to illegal aliens without congressional approval. Ask if the Representative will promise to insist on that.
3. Tell Reps you support H.R.5160 by Rep. Blackburn that legislatively blocks go-it-alone amnesties by a President.
What rights do lawbreaking invaders have under our laws? Take them to the border and let them out permanently.

My brother works in a welfare office in the Rockford IL area. he says illegals DO GET WELFARE and all sorts of other freebies. he sees it EVERY SINGLE DAY!
When they come over here pregnant, they get free medical care until the baby is born and then free medical care for the child for 1 year afterwards. Then they go on Obamacare..... medicaid.. so yeah, free healthcare for them.
Then the baby is a US citizen and qualifies for food stamps and free lunches and everything else.
Meanwhile, legal US citizens are struggling to make ends meet. Even myself, with a 60k/year job is living nearly paycheck-to-paycheck. My rent is $1k/month. My health insurance is “cheap” at $350/month (Freelancers Union). My student loans are $250/month. My car insurance is cheap at $25/month (from Insurance Panda). Gas prices are going up. Food prices are going up ($6/gallon here in NYC!). Public transit is going up, etc. etc. Inflation is rising. Wages are stagnant. People can’t afford to live!!!
Illegals, on the other hand, show up here and the government bends over backwards for them.

Obama is doing all of this on purpose. These are the INTENDED consequences. Not even debatable.

As long as they have 1 anchor baby born here they get everything for the anchor baby. Yes even Section 8 housing as long as there is 1 citizen in their household.
I have told everyone that for years. The anchor baby is their ‘key’ to every single benefit.
Unreal, meanwhile people are busting their butt working 3 jobs and barely making ends meet. And for what? All so Democrats can import votes even though it is illegal, even though it is blatant hardcore flat out treason.
Did you ever think you would ever live to see the day where a sitting US President would not only help foreign countries invade the US, but would also transport, feed, house and clothe them as well? There is treason, then there is insanely hardcore completely over the top treason. The law is quite clear: “adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States”. A foreigner coming here with the full intention of breaking US laws is an enemy of the United states. He or she is committing an offense against the country. The law is in place as a defense. Obama is eliminating that defense which is TREASON!
