He tore the law professor apart.

But why is Trey Gowdy questioning a law professor?

Lol...the rumpled little professor, who could moonlight playing Geppetto in “Pinocchio,” physically shrunk under Trey Gowdy’s fire. AARP may use this in a campaign ad for Democrats, claiming the GOP has a “War on Senior Citizens.”

That’s what I thought. But then again, I can’t seem to get enough of Trent Gowdy when somebody he’s questioning gets him hot under the collar.

This was the most tongue tied lawyer (professor!) I’ve ever seen. She was a babbling incoherently.

I was wondering the same thing. What relevance does that pointy-headed ivory tower elitist have to the proceedings?

The law professor was the classic dem/lib. Debbie Wasserman Schultz often behaves in the same way. When one is in a debate or argument with an opponent, and gets bested, the sensible thing is to say “you got me on that one”; rather than continually denying or changing the subject. Either way, it’s a ass-whipping. One may as well be gracious in defeat.

Did a little research.

The hearing was about if a special investigator should be used to investigate the IRS.

The democrats brought in the law professor as their expert witness, to make the case that the DOJ should perform the investigation instead.

Gowdy made the case, quite well, that this administration is so heavily biased that it couldn’t possibly conduct a fair investigation. The law professor clearly didn’t want (and couldn’t) defend the actions of this administration.

Seen in that light, Gowdy was brilliant. He must have known that this would be a MSM sound byte so he presented his point in terms common people could understand. His anger exemplifies how ridiculous it is to think that this administration could possibly be fair.

I’m sure the Dems called him as a “star witness” with all of his academia nut cred…..and Trey tore him a new one….

No, Gowdy needs to be attorney general, not president in the next conservative administration. He will need to prosecute a lot of leftists and he has the courage and ability to lead it.

Wow, there’s actually an all option or is that a person?

Trent Gowdy vs. Chuck Norris in a staring contest.

My money’s on the Universe imploding.

Rep Gowdy is always brilliant when he interrogates. No wasted fluff; he bores in, grabs hold of the throat, and doesn't let go.

Every question Gowdy asked was a “Yes or No” type question. All that professor did was blather, as he was ordered to do.
