Yesterday's MTV thread made me think of this one tonight. Not a bad tune. Always thought these guys would have made it a bit bigger than they did.

Keyboard driven rock was the historical low point of that genre.

The thread yesterday reminded me of The Cars - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eq-yoorI7lo

WHAT? I NEVER heard of 'Steel Breeze' ever before now, but what about 'CARS' by Gary Numan? That was a HUGE hit back in the day.. And Human League, New Order, DEVO, etc..

Sacramento band from the early 80’s. I remember it well. Best time of my life, even if I didn’t realize it at the time.

Here’s another one I dug up from the early eighties: “Everybody’s got to learn sometime” by the Korgis. One hit wonders, but still a good song.

Why do you say that? If you don't like the song or the style of music, just say so, but it's not necessary to post hateful and vitriolic comments about the band members personally.

Not every band has to be The Beatles. There's plenty of room in the pop world for a young band to grab some attention with a one-off hit song or two before they fade into obscurity and get real jobs. In fact it is those "minor hits" that bring back the most memories for me from a particular era, as the smash hits you hear over and over again until you are tired of them.

Speaking of lost hits, I heard Echo Beach the other day by Martha & The Muffins. Another great song from that late 70s/early 80s period.

Same here- best times of my life!!

I had forgotten this song until I heard it on Sirius a few months ago.

Also love In My Dreams by REO Speedwagon and Endless Summer Nights by Richard Marx.
