Uncle Sam, How Can I Save America TODAY?- The First 10 Steps [of Many]
self | August 2, 2014 | TEXOKIE

1. First, actually ask the question sincerely, "Uncle Sam, HOW can I save America today? Accept that it IS up to ME and I have accountability for my choices for her THIS DAY.

2. Read the Constitution, Founding Documents, and a good history of America. [We have one of the best histories written by Freepers Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen, entitled "A Patriot's History of the United States." Rush Limbaugh is also putting out a series of histories written for children, but are also entertaining for adults which are excellent.]

3. Read current events and know what is happening. Do not allow yourself to be a "low-information voter."

4. VOTE. ALWAYS. EVERY TIME YOU HAVE THE LEGITIMATE OPPORTUNITY.

5. Educate the children and people in your life. Share with them your love the Constitution, and the Founding Documents. Inform them of current events. Be the go-to person for your friends and family on such things. Do not discount the effect and weight that can have.

6. Live the words of President John F. Kennedy:"Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."

7. Be self-sufficient and prepared. Plant a garden and sign up for greeneyes's garden threads. Get out of debt. Be thrifty. If you do not have ideas on how to do this specifically, consider signing up for Kartographer's prep threads.

8. Get involved in and with your neighborhood and community. Know your neighbors. Be a poll watcher. Volunteer for Red Cross. Volunteer at the local museum or library. Volunteer at your local school. Honor and care for our military and veterans. Participate in the Freeper Canteen threads [contact Kathyinalaska to sign up.] Start a newsletter. Write your representatives, despite the deaf ear they are showing us right now. Work for and support viable candidates. Email the pookie18 cartoons and FreeRepublic articles and commentary to your friends and family. This list is endless, and your ideas make up the contents of the list after number 10!

9. Turn the TV off more often if not completely. Remember that while time is infinite, we, in our flesh bodies, are not! Nor are opportunities to act in freedom necessarily infinite.

10. This nation WAS founded and dedicated to God, who has blessed her. One of the most important steps to saving America is to pray for her specifically each day. Thank God for her; Our Father appreciates and enjoys our gratitude and our attention on Him. He truly DOES reward and bless abundantly those who serve Him and His children with grateful loving hearts.

We must remember: "Our God is GREATER!" than whatever challenge is in front of us. We must act as though it all depends on us - because it does. We must pray as though it all depends on God, and this is the key: IT DOES!

Ooops... no I actually am one of the ones who missed it... but I intend to correct that soon! Thanks for letting me know.

It takes in the current administration, right? If so, I think that is a book I remember begging you to write! Thanks for the heads up!

It goes through all of Zero’s first term, and the election of 2012.

It came out in Dec., so all book stores may not be carrying it. Try a Amazon or BandN online. Freepmail me with your address, then deliver to me-—I will give you my address, will sign and forward it to you at no charge.

Well we have a whole bunch of “gimme dats” these days. They want the Obama phones, and all the other goodies they can get. All provided by hard working individuals with their pocket being picked by the Government.

Those people for sure need to quit asking “what my country can do for me”. I don’t necessarily see that asking what I can do for my country is a bad or socialist thing.

Remember that even George Washington, at one point asked, Have I not done enough for my country? Every hardworking person supporting them selves and being self sufficient rather than living on the public dole is doing something for their country, the military is doing lots for their country, and choosing to tell slackers to man up and do something for their country is not in my opinion socialist.
