Apologizes in advance..I know a lot of golfers will read this, so.. I'm going to semi-hijack this thread..and just throw out the question..did Tiger quit yesterday?..did he fake his injury?

I didn't see the round..I caught the hi-lites this morning..and I think he up and quit..he was playing lousy..and realistically, he had no chance of being picked for the Ryder Cup..which, to an ego like his, would be devastating..so..he fakes the back spasm..and now he has a reason why he couldn't play in the Ryder. If you saw him limping in the parking lot..well, I've seen better acting jobs in a 5th grade production of "The Fantasticks" ( Die, Mortimer, Die)

He faked it..he up and quit...

mY take..for what it's worth..

I wondered the same thing. I don’t think he quit the round because he would not make the Ryder Cup. He faked an injury to give himself cover for this developing story. Maybe he will now say his injury has ended his career(at least for now). Pure speculation on my part.

I think he was hurting. That hop into the sandtrap early would be tough on a back still on the mend. I think his eyes were on the PGA Championship next week.

Who knows, though.

Sounds like something he would do.

After going bogey, double-bogey, ho-hum par, then a 300+ yard drive on the last hole before throwing in the towel, sitting at 4 over for the tourney, cue the drama queen and quit with a whimper-limper scene to elicit sympathy for his "courage".

Maybe if he is a no-show for this week's PGA I might change my mind, spasms? really?, but been there, seen that, when he does his drama queen-sympathy begging routine.

Well, well. Guess who had a miraculous recovery? 10 shots behind leader after Saturday is my bet for drama queen appearance.
