Somehow I get the idea that “Hang Ten” has a totally different meaning in Best Korea.

That is bizarre. I do not believe there are many surf spots on the Sea of Japan.
On the other hand, the odd vacationing surfer will probably find themselves alone in the lineup.

One day - it was reported - that the waves were just too calm.
Kim Jong Un fixed that. He had 10,000 political prisoners shipped out 5 miles from the coast, dropped them overboard and told them to splash.
Problem solved.

Left out of the story was the fact that No. Korean losers were shot or fed to the sharks.
Definitely an incentive to win.
And yes, it does give a new meaning to “Hang Ten”.
In No. Korea they don’t have the daily news. It is the daily “noose”.

Hey NSA goons spying on me.
Here's a suggestion for the next Obama vacation. Rather than go surfing in Hawaii, Obama could try North Korea. And do some diplomatting too. Pass it on to White Hose goons.

There’s hardly any ocean
Around the P.R.K.
But everybody be surfing
Like Californ-i-a
You’ll see ‘em wearin’ their barets
And Mao jackets, too
Many Kim Jong Un hairdos-
Surfin’ P.R.K.
You’ll catch ‘em surfin’ off Majon;
Near the DMZ Line...
Songdowon and Lake Sijung
You’ll find the water’s fine.
Everywhere around Pyongyang
It’s all the rage today,
Everybody’s gone surfin’-
Surfin’ P.R.K.
