Not for me. I power walk about 2 miles every day with an average pace of 4.3 - 4.5 mph for my circuit. 6 pm comes and Mr. Peel says: "what's for dinner? I'm starving!" And I think: "Crud! I'm not." So, I'll throw something together for him, and give myself a salad about 9 pm. My weight now is 7 pounds more than when I left high school. (I was tall and lanky back then) I did go through an overweight period, many years ago -- but it was no effort to drop 50 pounds and keep it off. Once I put my mind to it, it took about 6 months.
The key to weight control, as in any endeavor is self-disicpline.
So true.
It is a good thing to teach children about self-discipline when they are YOUNG and open to it.
However, it is NOT so easy to try to teach it to 75-pounds overweight people who used food all their lives to celebrate, enjoy, feel better, pass the time, etc.
