We canned tomatoes last night. Got three whole jars - whoop-de-do. The overabundance of rain this year and the deer ruined our tomatoes and sweet potatoes, and the deer ate everything else that was doing well from the rain. Our little corn patch looks like a bunch of sticks.

We’re going to enhance the fence next year and add row covers if it’s going to be another wet summer. At least my raspberries are doing well. Got to start making jam and raspberry cordial!

Quinn:

“Book 13 HOURS out today. CIA Chief forced 5 former special forces to stand down while Benghazi attack proceeded 1 mile away” #hillaryclinton

He also commented on the minimum wage protests:

“When I was a kid nobody thought they were supposed to live on the minimum wage. Why do they think that now? “#Fastfoodprotest

Good morning n’@!

It sounds like he is back from vacay?

Have been reading a lot of Joan Rivers...her quotes, her jokes, her support of Israel. In her last book, she wrote about how she WOULD die someday (and yes Melissa, it’s EVERYTHING is in your name) but how she wanted a BIG, splashy Hollywood funeral (w/Meryl Streep crying in 5 languages). Funny til the very end!

Rest peacefully. Ms. Rivers!

Happy FRiday!

The latest change on 28 made it better this morning. I actually left early because I thought any time there’s a change there could be issues, but I pretty much sailed through it.

I’m getting a patch of ground ready for a small garden next year. We live next to two empty lots my Mom owns, so she said we could do a garden. I’m excited :)

Glad to hear it. I'm looking forward to trying it on Monday (I'm working from home today).

Anything would be better than last week...Monday through Thursday it took me two freakin' hours to get to work each morning. Man that sucked.

Yes, it was quite terrible the past few weeks. All those people riding in the right hand lane & cramming in at the last minute to the left hand lane...causing the back-ups.

Here’s to brighter commuting days!
