TOPEKA —

U.S. Senate candidate Greg Orman once sued actress Debbie Reynolds over a $1 million loan he made to her Hollywood memorabilia museum that had gone unpaid.

Orman brought the suit against the “Singin’ in the Rain” star in 2008. The suit names Reynolds, her son Todd Fisher and the Hollywood Motion Picture and Television Museum as defendants.

Roberts' new crew is putting Orman under a microscope...and finding that he's got a very weird past.

Who among us hasn't sued Debbie Reynolds.

If he lent her $1 million and it wasn't repaid, how is suing her "weird"?

Roberts is going to have to do better than that.

I thought the same thing. Why is wanting your loan back considered anything but normal?

I guess Hollywoodland people think everyone owes them.

It was a loan, not a donation. He’s got a right to recovery if the loan is in default.

Earlier today, the Roberts team unearthed that Orman was being sued by boxing supplier Everlast. Orman set up a company, missed a royalty payment, and Everlast cancelled their agreement.

So that very same day, Orman dissolved the first company and formed two new companies, which purchased the first company’s inventory of Everlast products...same owners, same employees, same inventory. And the new companies aren’t paying royalties at all.

I think this is in the range of a $30 million.

I think it juxtaposes quite well - Orman tries to defraud Everlast by faking the dissolution of a company...yet when the shoe is on the other foot, he sues to get his money back...from a company that genuinely was bankrupt.
