The military comes out with a report that too many enlisted leaders / NCOs are white guys - so we see a lot of white guys with 10-20 years of experience let go, while their “minority” leaders are kept. Get rid of the whites to create promotion opportunities for the diversity candidates.
It is also a way to drive out the traditional, mostly Southern, conservative whites with only a high school education or some college who make up the bulk of the infantry and fighting forces.
