The watermelon movement is as genuinely interested in the environment as the anti-war movement during the Bush Admin was genuinely interested in peace.
In other words, not all: the issue is never the issue, the issue is revolution.
There are few in the anti-war movement because the left has its man in the White House. However, he has found it difficult to accomplish his entire agenda due to resistance from Republicans and the Koch Brothers and the time limitations imposed by his golf game and gladhanding with Jay-Z.
So the watermelons are lending a hand by protesting to use the natural concern about the environment to end capitalism and impose a global totalitarian state (I don’t want to bother arguing whether it is a fascist totalitarian or communist totalitarian. That makes little difference.) Except for a number of pseudo-scientific CAGW fanatics and other academics who know how to capture grant money and get tenure in climate scientology, their cult followers, and gullible ignorami, the CAGW movement is a totalitarian movement.
