I too found Free Republic in the fall of 97 when I got my first computer. Well it was WebTV but that was new to me. I soon signed up with my own name but in Aug of ‘98 I changed it to Ditter. Had I known what a very early sign up date was some kind of a prize I wold have remained ijharrison.
