One of the first super-deluxe box sets I ever bought was Peel Slowly and See, a six-disc reissue of The Velvet Underground and Nico, the VUs first album. At the time, I couldnt imagine more comprehensive re-release.
But then came the 45th anniversary version of the same record along with this career-spanning vinyl set. That was followed by several versions of White Light, White Heat. And now theres another six-disc version coming for their third album.

Geeze Louise, I’ve been perfecting my Nico look for decades now but even I think they’ve flogged this dead horse hard enough. What are they trying to do this time, clean up Sister Ray for crisp clear quadrophonic sound? Sheesh!
Actually on second thought that would be kinda cool to hear...
