Ran into an old acquaintance who is now a geneticist specializing in crops (not a Monsanto employee)
His take is that people are starving needlessly because of the EU embargo on a particular GM strain of rice.
They just need to spread some money around the EU Parliament members, the old fashioned way!................
Ask him what happens when one or two major corporations control the food source in the country/world?
