Do you have a credible source for that? I’d love to see it.

Strangely enough, these are the exact missiles that the Obama Administration, and Qatar transferred to ISIS via Benghazi through a Turkish intermediary.

“U.S. officials with access to the latest U.S. intelligence on Iraq told Fox News it “appears likely/probable” that U.S.-made Stinger missiles have fallen into the hands of Sunni insurgents.

It is possible that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) fighters acquired them from army bases they have taken over in recent days, the sources said.

The Stinger missile is a shoulder-fired surface-to-air weapon that is used against aircraft.

As ISIS forces have advanced through Iraq, concerns have increased that more U.S.-made weaponry could fall into the hands of the radical group.”

That's smoke from an Iraqi military attack helicopter.

Did we give Iraq some Apaches?

Even if we did, our training methods are just a bit more comprehensive than theirs, I would guess.

During the VietNam War the Russians provided pilots, equipment and training to the NVA and VietCong on how to shoot down U.S. military aircraft and they were effective.

Since the break up of the Soviet Union there are thousands of former KGB and Russian military specialists all over the world employed in such roles today.

Did we leave behind shoulder fireds for Iraq to use as part of the new booty for ISIS?

If so, why? To sell on the black market?

I always wanted to shoot a LAW. Maybe take out a vacant SUV when its grazing.. I hate long shots. Personal is better. ;-)

Personally, I hope we crunch some nuts and soon or the friendly skies will be few and far between in the middle east.

Good article about U.S. military advisers training Iraq Air Force pilots.

Is the lifetime of a MANPAD classified? STingers had a Use IT BY Date or such..

Their batteries only last so long but there seems to be more than just a battery life issue. Otherwise, why with so many reportedly in circulation amongst terrorist groups aren't more being used?

A dumb ass Ordnance Lieutenant took some of us out to the range at Ft. Lewis back in 1966 to shoot an old M-20A-1 3.5 inch rocket launcher. We had NO ear protection and my first shot with the dummy round took out one of the bleacher benches. I could not hear a thing for a week. :)

The Korean War vintage 3.5 inch Rocket Launcher called the Super Bazooka

>We should have never armed the mujahideen.<

.
We should have never befriended Islam but should have treated it the way our medieval European ancestors did.

The way the MSM is probably never. Even if clear evidence where to sent to every news desk in the nation it would probably not be reported, except for on Fox and the independent news sites.

They keep asking why the US gov't is trying to keep this quiet.

The 20,000 missing MANPADS: It was on Free Republic at about the time these men were killed on about 9/12.

Jennifer Griffin reported again yesterday what was discussed on FR over a month ago. Obama allowed the Muslim Brotherhood and their al quaeda pals access to 20,000 manpads, one man anti-aircraft, shoulder-fired missiles with capabilities of defeating current commerical counter-measures. I know the article is here on Free Republic because I participated in the discussion....and I think Lancey did, and I think you did too. (See below)

The American special operators, Woods, Doherty and at least two others were part of the Global Response Staff, a CIA element, based at the CIA annex and were protecting CIA operators who were part of a mission to track and repurchase arms in Benghazi that had proliferated in the wake of Muammar Qaddafi's fall. Part of their mission was to find the more than 20,000 missing MANPADS, or shoulder-held missiles capable of bringing down a commercial aircraft. According to a source on the ground at the time of the attack, the team inside the CIA annex had captured three Libyan attackers and was forced to hand them over to the Libyans. U.S. officials do not know what happened to those three attackers and whether they were released by the Libyan forces. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/10/26/cia-operators-were-denied-request-for-help-during-benghazi-attack-sources-say/#ixzz2AQLj6krm

20,000 missing manpads can bring commercial air traffic to a halt, just about world wide.

THIS is what Obama is trying to hide. It is plausible to assume THIS is what led to NO rescue for these men, and why they were WANTED dead.

A media report on Obama's 20,000 missing anti-aircraft missiles has the ability to bring down Obama.
