Update. I had to stop using WTP due to the old HD I has installed it on crashing and making sounds of imminent failure. Later i may copy it all to another HD, and God willing I may add updates to this thread. WTP does seem to use less RAM and is a bit faster.

As for other issues not mentioned, while it seems the system tray notification settings do better at remembering what you choose, the Quick Launch utterly fails to remember the order of icons that you place them in.

And the Start menu should go further back to XP classic style which Classic Shell enables. Below is how mine looked under W/8.1

Desktop+Start2"

I did clean install WTP again, on another HD, and have been using it steadily, and it overall works well, thank God.

However, in some windows (like notepad) the Alt+Tab toggle function goes to File (on toolbar) instead of the last viewed window, and so you need to do it a second time, or hold down the Tab key longer.

And Speech to Text voice recognition training does not work - cannot hear mic, even if sensitivity is turned up - though the USB mic passes the test.

Also, i cannot draw the Quick Launch toolbar i made to the left, as i could do in W/8 as long as the task bar was empty. i surmise that is because of the new (and helpful) task view is next to the Start menu.
