So do Hispanics have separate interests from those of other Americans?
If the answer is no, then what’s the big deal? Appeal to them like everybody else.
If the answer is no, then maybe we need to spell out the differences. Maybe non-Hispanics ought ot have a say in teh future of this country.
They see the beauty of this country, but they cannot conceptualize what it is going to take to keep it as such. NONE of them want it to turn into Central America or Mexico; so conservatives have damn sure better come up with a strategy to win them.
I know of a phenom kid that is currently on a free ride at Duke University, and he is in High School. He is a genius, from immigrant parents from (wait for it), HONDURAS. They damn sure want the opportunity America offers: but no one is messaging them on what it takes to build it and keep it.
Wanna lose Hispanics to the Democrats? Don't say a damn thing.
Let me take you inside of a very large church in Woodbridge, Virginia (the Headquarters of MS-13). Right smack in the middle of Hispanic country: there is no mission to systematically train and recruit Hispanic pastors and deacons. Not only by this church, but all of the surrounding churches. If we are unwilling to do that, then what are we about? What are we doing? Why do we expect a sudden onslaught of Conservatism to burst out? Conserve WHAT?
We can bitch and complain over illegal immigrants, but the truth of the matter is, we have not done anything to turn it around within the EXISTING LEGAL HISPANIC COMMUNITY, because we don't know what it took to be an American in the first place.
