In Boxster’s case, it’s mostly Marin County. A place for a passel of NIMBY RATs. Sonoma County wants to reinstitute commuter rail service from Petaluma to the Ferry Terminal next to San Quentin, but Marin wants to not allow the tracks to be extended to the Ferry Terminal so the whole project is stalled. It seems that they don’t want to have the “noise” of trains to pierce their “tranquillity.”
